2010 Moving On
It's December 31st again. It's the last day of 2010. Time goes by so quickly, doesn't it?
Many things have happened this year for me, and I bet that you guys have gone through a lot too.
But it's time to move on now, into a new year of endless posibilities. Who knows what will happen? Be prepared.
Reflect back on 2010. Remember all the interesting events that have happened. Recall your joys and regrets. It's time to really learn from all your little mistakes so that in 2011, things will go smoother.
Take up new challenges in the new year. Make new friends. Meet new people. Live your life to the fullest.
I wish you all had an amazing 2010. Now, it's time to think up a New Year's Resolution again, because 2011 is less than a day away.
-Vociferously yours, Vicky.

Top Ten Quotes of 2010
I did this last year too. Now, for this year's top 10 batch of fresh cookies...ur, quotes:
Top Ten Quotes Jan 2010 to Dec 2010: (not in any order)
1. "When I looked in your eyes, I could feel the warmth of the sun shining down on me..." This was in a classmate's French Valentine's Day poem. xD
2. "It's SO SOFT..." Amazing, this person was talking about hair.
3. "I'm this kind of person: There's a cup, and you can fill it up. But if you fill it up too much, it will tip over. MY CUP IS FULL!" Wonders what Math class can do to someone.
4. "Ohmigosh, I can't do this...I'm going to smash myself with my guitar." Stage fright. ^_^
5. "You're just a sad-looking guy, sitting there, playing his guitar, singing of a lost love..." Another guitar quote.
6. "Love is never having to say you're sorry." Math class...*shakes head* Not a good time to daydream.
7. "Are you ready? Here, on three...FROWN." Honestly, we knew someone who couldn't frown.
8. "And they all departed by soaring similar to the fluff of a plant." Let's see you figure this one out!
9. "YOU ARE A GOOD BOY."
10. "Have you realized that some people who aren't that smart like to PRETEND they know what others are saying?" I have a really arrogant classmate. T^T
---
If you know me personally, try and guess who said all these things. I said TWO of these things. (Hint: odd numbers.)
Ciao! Merry Christmas Eve!

Happy Holidays!
Tomorrow is Christmas Eve, which means that the day after that will be Christmas!
I hope everyone has the best Christmas ever this year, and if you don't celebrate it, I hope you have an amazing winter break.
The weather isn't looking to good over here. I mean, it's SUNNY. And it was snowing in NOVEMBER. But oh well. Maybe you guys will have a White Christmas. We will wait until next year. ;D
Some Gift-Giving Tips:
1. Wrap your present. It shows how much you care.
2. Be sure to also get a greeting card (or make one yourself).
3. Only give money if you honestly have no ideas what to get them.
4. Buy something useful that might actually help out with their daily lives, etc.
5. Remember that it's the thought that counts the most! Handmade gifts especially show that.

Princess and the Pea Chapter 39
Yeah, I'm starting this again. Enjoy~
Chapter 39:
Fiona’s face hardened, and then she had no expression. “So?” She heaved. “That was the past. Now we must live in the present.” She walked in the other direction. “I need to go get some cedar wood. I know some spells we can use that will come greatly in handy.”
She walked off, leaving the group staring at each other strangely. “Does she really not care?” Marilynn said.
“Give her some time, Princess,” Neleh said, smiling weakly. “She needs to think things through.”
“What kind of person was her mother Anoia, Neleh?” King William asked.
“Oh, she was phenomenal. A bit careless, perhaps, but she was one of the kindest, most humane witches in our coven. She had great skills with magic, but her main purpose in life was to help others. She opened a witch hospital that time, but sadly, Helen destroyed everything.”
“That’s really sad,” Samson whispered. “Where is she now?”
“She died,” Neleh said. “She died of a terrible illness. I pray that she is in a better world right now.”
Fiona did find some cedar, and she silently and thoughtlessly cut the trees down. She took the bark and peeled it off the trunk. She took her knife and cut the bark into small pieces. She then took her staff and muttered an incantation.
Slowly, the cedar pieces turned violet. “Poison cedar,” she chuckled. “I’d like to see this burn off Linda’s hair. She’d freak out.”
There was a rustling in the leaves, and Fiona immediately was cautious. What was it, she did not know. But she did know that there was something alive around her.
“Caught ya,” a voice murmured from behind her. A hand shot out and knocked Fiona unconscious. The owner of the voice took off its hood, and revealed an angry, spiteful face covered with bright blue hair.
“Nice to know you’re alive, cousin,” Linda smirked. “But your traitor days are over.”

Modesty is a Virtue
The other day, also known as yesterday, I realized something I've never realized before: You simply cannot hate a modest person. No matter what they do and no matter how they do it, it is impossible to have bad feelings towards those people.
First of all, let's talk arrogance. If you knew me, you'd know how much I loathe braggarts. And that's where your eyes should have opened wider. The question is, why do we hate proud people? They're not doing anything bad. They're only talking about themselves, right?
But the truth is, we don't like it when people talk about themselves. When other people purposely thrust themselves into the limelight, we don't feel good. Maybe it's because we want a chance to speak. Maybe it's because we don't want them to speak. Either way, we don't like it when other people make themselves look good in an "oh, I'm better than you" fashion, because we don't want to be considered inferior to them.
Yesterday in Math class (har har, Math <_<), it was my classmate's birthday. We sang happy birthday to him, and in the middle of our song, our teacher asked my classmate, "Oh, it's your birthday?" He said yes. The teacher nodded approvingly at him. "Happy Birthday. (Name), you are a good boy. You are humble. That is very good! "
I made a mental list of everyone I knew who was relatively modest or humble. I connected the lines in the picture inside my head, and I found the principal similarity between all those lovely people: No one hated them. No one even mildly disliked them. Because they couldn't.
And then I made a mental list of everyone I knew who was relatively arrogant or boastful. I found a principal similarity between all those people as well: I have heard someone say something bad about each and every one of them. People are displeased with them. People find them irritating. People don't like them too much.
To tell the truth, I don't like them either. So whenever they boast and get the teacher's appreciation, I feel hurt. I don't boast, and sometimes, the teacher doesn't see my efforts because of it, perhaps. But I don't want to boast, because arrogance is a sin.
But when the modest people get the teacher's appreciation, I feel an incredible happiness for them. I smile and I applaud wholeheartedly. Even if they aren't my friends. Even if I don't know them.
Modesty is a virtue. I found that out just yesterday. Everyone likes modest people, but not everyone likes show-offs.
So even if you want to show the world your prowess, try doing it in an indirect, humble way. That way, not only do you get your message across, but people will like you too.
Or in general, just try being humble for a day. See how it's like, and observe. If you keep being humble and modest, friendly and kind, people will like you better.
I'll try it too, tomorrow during Math class. ;D

The Power of Math (Class)
MATH. It strikes terror in the very heart of many. MATH. The wondrous science of numbers and graphs and pretty polygons. PI. It would taste better with an 'e' at the end.
---
Anyways, I'm in a Math Honours class. And almost everyday, I go to Math class with a smile on my face...Which now fades in about a minute, sadly. :(
One of the main problems is that everyone in my class wants to look SMART. That's really annoying. So everyone likes to act all knowledgeable and intelligent and better-than-you-ha-ha. I respect those people, but after a while, it gets annoying. Like, really annoying. Like, put-down-your-hand-now-or-else annoying.
But don't get me wrong, I LIKE MATH. Math is amazing. Math club (yes, me the nerd har har) is amazing. But when everyone is flaunting their omniscience all over the place...What the heck? Stop flaunting!
---
My Math class is around an hour, and we've learned a lot of stuff so far. Pascal has an amazing triangle. Yes, it's his triangle. No one else can touch it; it's HIS! xD
Math is all-powerful. Bow down to its prowess, its highness, its nobility...And I have more Math homework to do. 0_0
Ah, Math class. Can't live without it.
Ciao.

I'm Back...Hi...?
Dear Your-Name-Here,
Hi. I'm Vicky. Remember me? 0_0 (the audience is silent)
Yeah, I haven't written/posted anything new in a very long time. Forgive me. I am a very busy person. *pushes up nerdy glasses*
How's life? Everything going well? I hope so. I could go on and on about the definition of 'well' and 'life' and 'hope', but you know what, you would probably fall asleep and I don't want to be responsible for damaging your computer keyboard.
Christmas is only a month away. And then again, people were already getting excited in August. (I saw the ads; I know). So yeah, it's old news. Remember to buy good gifts for everyone!Or they'll find you. 0_0
Thanksgiving was yesterday for you American folk. Did you enjoy your turkey dinner? ^_^
Have a nice day. I'll try posting more from now on after my long hiatus.
Ciao.
-Vociferously yours, Vicky.
P.S. In case you didn't know what "hiatus" meant, go look it up in the dictionary!

Happy Birthday, Tamagotchi Cool!
Today, August 23rd, is my forum, Tamagotchi Cool's fourth birthday.
Happy Birthday Tamagotchi Cool!
Please visit and post. Also, enjoy this video I made. I created all the pictures and animations. The slides match the lyrics of the song.
I believe the video signifies that no matter what my website will go through, and no matter what my website did go through already...It will always be cool.
To see last year's video, click here. That video tells of the history of Tamagotchi Cool.
Enjoy both videos. ^_^

Princess and the Pea Chapter 38
Chapter 38:
“Two hundred years ago, both the White Witches and the Dark Witches were united into one big coven. We all lived in peace and spent our time creating elixirs and potions to sell in the markets. That’s how we lived our lives. We were merchants.
“Helen was my older sister. She always hated me, for some reason. She thought I would be a threat to her and her power…And her inherence. So she always made sure that in public, I would look terrible while she shone in front of the crowds.
“One day, Helen suddenly left home. My parents were frantic. They had no idea where Helen was.
“But I knew. She had told me that one spring morning. She had informed me of a magical place in the Great Woods where there was enough enchantment to give even the weakest witches unbelievable power. I wondered why she had told me.
“I told my parents what I had heard from Helen. They immediately sent out many witch soldiers to go find my sister. And my parents and I went with them.
“With our coven empty of supplies and protection…Oh, I should’ve known. Helen was creating an army. She manipulated many of our finest witches and turned them over to her side.
“Helen took over our coven, and while she was taking care of things, we found ourselves facing an iron gate that was blocking the Great Woods.
“All of a sudden, we all fainted. When I woke up, I found myself in the centre of the Great Woods. Helen had lied. I felt no presence of power or enchantment there.
“Many other soldiers and witches were with me, still unconscious. I shook them awake, and there, in the centre of the Great Woods, we built our own coven. Our coven was dedicated to goodness. Helen’s…Well, you know already.”
Neleh sighed. Then she looked directly at Fiona. “A few months later, my dear sister-in-law Anoia came running to me, holding a bundle of blankets.
“‘What do I do?’ She asked me. ‘I lost a bet with Helen, so I had to give my baby to her.’”
Fiona looked shocked as if she knew what Neleh was going to say. Everyone else turned to Neleh expectantly.
Neleh closed her eyes. “That baby was you, Fiona.”

Princess and the Pea Chapter 37
Chapter 37:
The next few weeks were busy ones. The witches prepared for war silently, gathering dark forces and chanting their incantations in the Daffodil Acres castle. Helen left her army of toxic slugs to guard over the Ruby Cross castle while she practiced her spells in seclusion. Nobody knew where she was, not even her daughter Linda.
Linda was in her room as usual, lazily lounging on her bed, humming peaceful songs to herself as she rested, completely oblivious to the world around her.
“Come here, Melinda!” Linda snapped her fingers, and an old, exhausted looking maid came up to her, bowing low.
“What do you request, milady?”
Linda rolled her eyes. “My mother is what I request! Where in the world has she been?”
“You do not know, milady? Mistress Helen Crosby is preparing for war.”
“What war?” Linda looked truly confused.
“The war against…The former royalties of the two kingdoms you and your mother have captured.”
Linda sighed nonchalantly. “Oh, that war. Well, let my mother do what she wants. It’ll be all wasted energy at the end.”
“And why do you say that, milady?”
Linda frowned, unhappy to be questioned. “Because I believe you are all overestimating those former royalties. They have lost all their power. They do not pose as any threat to us.”
“If you say so, milady.” Melinda left slowly. She was worried for the young witch. Linda had been dilly-dallying for too long. She should be caring for the witches’ power, if she was to be the future Grand Dark Witch.
And on the other side of the castle, the former royalties and their two new acquaintances were also preparing for war. Vincent had provided them each a weapon. He gave Samson a long, silver sword, Marilynn a fine bow and arrow, Lily a staff, Henry a dagger, Sandra iron knuckles, and William a long, curved blade. Fiona had her spells and potions, so she needed no other weapon.
The group was also rounding up all their possible allies too. They found alliance with the Grand White Witch and her coven. The white witches were pure hearted and kind. They all had flowing white hair, pasty complexions, and pale, snow white robes.
They had introduced themselves to the group one fine morning. At first Samson had been quite appalled and tried to attack them, but they declared their innocence and swore that they were different from the dark witches.
“We’d be delighted to help you,” the Grand White Witch Neleh proclaimed. And so they joined the group against the dark witches.
“Thank you, Neleh,” King William said.
“You’re welcome, William, sir,” Neleh smiled. “But first, you must learn a bit about our coven…”

Princess and the Pea Chapter 36
I hope you enjoy this flashback chapter:
Chapter 36:
Vincent sat down and patted the ground around him. Everyone scooted in closer, a bit grudgingly. Vincent sighed, clicked his fingers, and began.
“It all started two hundred years ago, when my brother Destin and I were only children.” He looked around and saw his audience’s amazed expressions at his age. “We were a tribe of spirit hunters. My father was the head chief and my mother was a famed archer.
“That day was a cold one indeed. It was winter solstice, and the snow was up to our freezing knees.” Vincent chuckled darkly. “I remember my father’s disbelief when he heard a knock on our door. ‘Who would come here at this hour, in this storm?’ He’d said.
“Father opened the door to a tall, slender woman with blue hair and menacing indigo eyes. She was holding the staff of the Grand Dark Witch, the leader of the witch coven in the Witch Woods. She had smiled and asked to come in. And since my father was a kind man, he let her in. That was the worst decision of his life.
“The tall witch introduced herself as Helen Crosby, and told my parents that she needed their help.
“‘What kind of help?’ My mother had asked. And Helen told them her plan.
“Helen said she wanted to unite the spirit hunters and the witches into one clan and use our respective powers to ultimately take over all the known kingdoms in the world. She spoke of her aspirations to rule and conquer all. She convinced my parents to believe that it was for the good of the nation and that the witches and spirit hunters would help each other and obtain power as partners.
“My father was reluctant. Our clan had few numbers and we were taught not to trust the witches right from the very start. But Helen knew how to fawn and sooner than we could count to three, they were on her sided and trusted her completely.
“Helen would come here everyday to talk to my parents about the alliance and to come talk to me and my brother as well. It was clear that Helen liked my brother more. He admired her very much and believed everything she said. I was smarter. I could never read the look in her eyes, but I knew something bad lurked behind them. I remained my distance, and Helen never cared.
“A month after the alliance contract was signed between us and the witches, something terrible happened. I saw Helen murmuring incantations in her room one evening and summoning all the dark spirits. I heard her call out my brother’s name in the incantation, and I watched her cackle as she poured mixtures together into a murky green potion. She smiled in delight when the dark spirits crawled into the mixture, and I remember her exact words: ‘They’ll never know’.
“And I wasn’t smart enough to tell my parents what had happened. I hated them for letting Helen in, and I truly abhorred their attitude towards me then. So I said nothing, but I’m sure Helen knew I was there then.”
Vincent paused, and buried his face in his hands. He closed his eyes and groaned painfully.
“What happened next?” Marilynn asked.
“I found my parents dead the next morning in their room,” he said. “There was blood everywhere. I couldn’t watch. I ran out as fast as I could, right to my brother’s room. I saw through the hole in the door and I stopped cold.
“Helen was there, her hands covered in my parents’ blood. She was talking to Destin.
“‘Now, now, dear,’ she said. ‘Come here. I have something to show you.’
“My body was screaming out at me to rush in there and save my brother from that evil witch. But I couldn’t, and I watched helplessly as Helen gave my brother the murky green mixture, and I shook tremendously as I watched Destin swallow it.
“He turned out to be what he is now,” Vincent whispered. “He morphed permanently into a black mist, and became Helen’s servant. Helen soon passed him on to the necromancer Corinth, and they used him. And Destin still always trusted them. There must’ve been something else in the potion.”
“What happened to you?” Samson asked.
“I escaped. I ran out as fast as I could and Helen didn’t catch me. I ran for so long, and I found myself alone in the woods. I’ve lived there ever since.”
“That’s an awful story,” Queen Sandra said. “I can’t believe you had to go through all that.”
Vincent stood up. “Well, I did,” he muttered. “And now I’m going to do the same thing to Helen as she did to my parents.”
Fiona stood up too. “You mean we’re going to,” she chirped.
Everyone nodded in agreement.

Princess and the Pea Chapter 35
I can't believe I'm still writing...
Chapter 35:
A silhouette appeared in the darkness, and it slowly advanced towards Fiona. Soon, a dark man with pointy hair and green eyes came into view. He let out a chuckle when he saw Fiona.
“So you finally betrayed your cousin and those rats, eh? How’d you change your mind?”
Fiona laughed, embarrassed. She stepped up on her toes and gave the man a hug. “I don’t know,” she said. “I just did.”
Their audience looked rather confused. “Um, this is…?” Marilynn raised her eyebrows.
“Oh, I’m sorry!” Fiona let go of the man and turned to face Marilynn and the others. “This is my good friend Vincent. He’s a wandering spirit hunter.”
Vincent nodded cautiously. “Hello,” he began, talking to everyone in sight. “We haven’t met before, but I can tell you that I am not your enemy. But I do believe you have met my brother…And I do apologize on his behalf.”
Samson frowned. “Your brother?”
“Yes, the smelly black mist.”
Memories flooded back to Marilynn. She recalled fainting after being enveloped by mist. Dark, black mist. She didn’t remember it smelling bad or anything like that, but she did remember it. She growled with an unfeminine character.
Vincent shook his head. “Ah, my brother Destin. When will he ever learn?” He snorted. “I don’t think he ever will. It’s been centuries.”
Fiona clapped her hands merrily, and the whole group stared at her strangely. “Vincent hates the witches too,” she said, smiling brightly. “We have another ally now.”
“How can we trust this stranger? He may be your friend, but he is nobody to us.” King Henry’s low voice bellowed out accusingly.
Vincent grinned approvingly. “Very smart, my lord. I am nothing but a stranger to you. But let me tell you a bit about me.”
“A bit about you?” Queen Sandra sounded nervous.
“Oh yes, a bit about me. About me and how I came to hate the witches.”

Princess and the Pea Chapter 34
Chapter 34:
“So, what’s next?” Samson demanded, waiting for Fiona’s reaction. Fiona stared at her scroll carefully, pondering and thinking about the next step. She frowned at Samson’s demand.
“You, shush. I need to be able to concentrate.” The little witch probed through her mind, her miniscule figure almost fading into the forest.
“You’ve been standing there for thirty minutes already. You started off all confident and assured, but now you’ve lost your thought process? Aren’t you Linda Crosby’s cousin? You should know quite well how to deal with her and her legion of warlocks.”
Suddenly, Fiona threw her spear at Samson, narrowly missing his head as he quickly ducked down, alarmed and confused. “I told you to shush, boy,” she growled at him. “No wonder my cousin told me you were an incapable dolt.” She closed her eyes and tried to control her temper. “Linda had better judgment than I thought she had,” she added softly, annoyed and infuriated.
Samson nodded slowly, recovering from his shock. He rubbed his head continuously, making sure it was still there. He was dismayed to find that his hand was now covered with mud and dirt. He sighed, prudent enough not to complain.
Marilynn stared at the former prince and felt sympathy for him. She knew how he felt about all this, and she understood. She was once royalty too. They were all once royalty. They all used to wear beautiful robes and glistening jewellery. But now they were reduced to dirty, muddy garments, and their hair was tangled and messed. But what else could they do?
Marilynn’s and Samson’s parents sat quietly in the corner. Lily wiped her eyes. Sandra was taking a nap. Henry was thinking too, copying Fiona’s stature and brainstorming up ideas for their salvation. William was also taking a nap.
“Aha!” Fiona startled everyone with her abruptly loud, powerful voice. Everyone immediately sat up and looked to her, eyes opened wide.
“Welcome,” she said. She wasn’t talking to her audience, but instead her voice seemed far, far away. She peered into the darkness in the northwest direction and smiled gleefully. “Welcome to our hideout, Vincent.”

Princess and the Pea Chapter 33
Chapter 33:
Deep dark into the witches’ territory on the other side of the valley, someone was hunting. He sharpened his senses accordingly to see through the dark mist that was swirling around. He chuckled sarcastically. “Helen,” he muttered. “Always gonna keep Destin around, eh?”
He walked past Helen’s fortress and continued on, pondering to himself. “Helen’s not here, is she?” He asked out loud, more to himself than to the mist that was following him. “So why are you still guarding?”
The black mist settled down and formed into the shape of a short, sturdy man. He had razor sharp hair, a dark complexion, and dark green eyes that saw right through you. But he wasn’t solid. His silhouette moved with the wind, and he seemed more like an image than a person. “Humph,” he said, and his voice was deep and reverent. “Helen might come back any moment, and I don’t want to be caught off duty.”
The hunter laughed. “Then why did you follow me, brother?” He looked very much like Destin, but he was only human.
“And might I ask you why you are here then.” Destin’s eyes narrowed as he changed back into the swirling dark mist. He hovered above his brother’s head.
“Oh, I just wanted to come to thank Helen for destroying my life.” The hunter began to walk away.
“It wasn’t Helen’s fault that Father died,” Destin said. “And thanks to her ancestors, we have lived for so long without passing away. You should be thankful.”
“Thankful? I wish I was dead. It would be better than watching my own younger brother fall into the hands of that…” He shook his head and sighed. Then he looked up and stared into the mist.
“Well, you have fun then. Go serve that witch. I’ll be leaving now.”
“Where are you going?” Destin bellowed. His voice surrounded the hunter, and the dark mist spun around him and blocked his exit. The hunter stared up at it depreciatingly, and simply ushered it away.
“None of your business,” he said, and turned around. His hand clenched into a fist. They will all pay, he told himself. Helen, the witches…Everyone. One day I’ll get back at them. And then they’ll learn…

Princess and the Pea Chapter 32
Chapter 32:
Everyone gathered around the open scroll, eager and expectant. Fiona then pulled out a fine ink pen. She began to scribble on the scroll.
“Look, this is where we are right now.” Fiona drew an X in the middle. “This is the Daffodil Acres castle, and this is the Ruby Cross castle.” She drew a D beside the X and an R a few decimetres further southeast. “And this is where Helen and my cousin Linda have their strongest defences.” Fiona outlined lines on the north side of the D and the south side of the R. She poked the lines. “The soldiers will guard the castles with their lives, for Linda is residing in the Daffodil Acres while Helen is planting herself in Ruby Cross. But they are moving.”
“Moving? What do you mean?” Samson frowned as he took in the information.
“Helen is at Daffodil Acres right this moment, speaking to Linda. Helen doesn’t like to stay in the same place all the time. She is teleporting constantly, so she will be hard to counterattack. She is quick and agile.”
Fiona sighed, and continued, pushing her short hair back behind her pointy ears. “And in the castles, there are also many guards scattered around the rooms. But they are lazy guards, and they don’t pay attention well. One time I sneaked right past them and they didn’t even ask for my ID. Huh, such imbeciles…”
“Wait, you said ‘they’ are moving. So Linda won’t necessarily stay in Daffodil Acres either?” Marilynn scratched her head.
“Yes, but she will only venture around the castle. My cousin is an idle soul, so she likes to relax and let loose. But once she is alert, she is very strong. We cannot underestimate her either.”
King William coughed and began to speak. “So in order to attack Linda in Daffodil Acres, we must venture in through the south gate and catch her distracted? It sounds simple to me.”
“Not that simple, mister.” Fiona closed her eyes momentarily. “Yes, you are right, but I can sense that Linda is more alert nowadays, with Marilynn and Samson intruding and all these things that have been happening. So it will be difficult to catch her distracted. But if we can, our chances of winning will be great.”
“Then, what about Helen? How do we face her off?” Marilynn thought deeply.
Queen Lily suddenly laughed. “Save the best for last, dear,” she said.
Marilynn chuckled. “I see.”

Princess and the Pea Chapter 31
A longer chapter this time:
Chapter 31:
In the forest, Queen Lily’s eyes slowly opened. She groaned as she heaved herself up. “Ugh…”
Prince Samson immediately went over to support the queen. “Mother, are you alright?”
Marilynn looked over her shoulder at Queen Lily. “How are you feeling, Queen Lily?” She asked somewhat nonchalantly. Marilynn closed her eyes, and remembered Queen Lily’s coldness to her that one morning after she had spent the night sleeping on top of those twenty mattresses. It seemed like a century ago to her. It was when she was still Princess Marilynn of Ruby Cross. It was when all was peaceful and her life was secure. Marilynn opened her eyes again.
“I’m fine, thank you.” Queen Lily looked back at Marilynn, and met her gaze. If only the girl had felt the pea, she thought. She is a smart, capable lass. If only she had felt the pea…
Marilynn saw the regretful look behind the queen’s ice-blue eyes. She had to tell the truth. “Queen Lily, you remember that night you told me to sleep on those mattresses? The first day we met?”
“Yes?” Queen Lily frowned.
The words came out in a jumble. “I was only being polite. I did have trouble sleeping that night. There was something pricking me in the back the whole entire time. It did bother me.”
Queen Lily’s eyes opened wide, but the surprise didn’t last. She looked down and exhaled. “I knew you were a real princess, Marilynn. I did. I just needed to make sure…” When she looked back at her, tears were streaming down her face. “But we can’t do anything about it now, can we? Our kingdoms have been taken over. Our lives are in danger. We’re ruined, and it’s all my fault.”
“How is it your fault? It’s Helen’s, Queen Lily. It’s Helen’s fault.”
“No, it’s mine. If I had only accepted you that morning, Linda Crosby wouldn’t have come that day impersonating Princess Lila. If I had only accepted you that morning, Linda wouldn’t have been able to snoop around my castle and commence the witches’ plan. If I had only accepted you that morning, we wouldn’t be here right now, with mud on our faces and twigs in our hair!”
Marilynn was momentarily silenced. Prince Samson, who was still supporting Queen Lily, was too. He bit his lip, feeling his mother’s sadness as she wept, hopelessly and grievingly.
“But, Queen Lily, we can still revive and save our kingdoms! Just please, stop crying!” Marilynn tried to console her.
“Yes, mother, please!” Samson almost couldn’t take it anymore. And near them, King William and Queen Sandra were beginning to suffer from the depression too.
“Queen Lily, it will all be fine.”
“As long as we’re together, friend, we can redeem!”
Queen Lily wiped her eyes. “Please, don’t call me Queen Lily. I’m not queen anymore.”
A shrill voice called out, and everyone turned their heads to Fiona Crosby, who was sitting there in the corner, twiddling her thumbs impatiently. “And if you want to become queen again, stop with the depressing noise.” She pulled out a scroll from her side pouch, and opened it, displaying it in front of her. “Alright, rest time’s over. Let’s get down to work.”

Princess and the Pea Chapter 30
I'm at chapter 30 already? Time sure does past quickly. 0_0 I'm almost frightened by the thought...
Chapter 30:
Linda made her way to her mother’s chambers. She knocked on the door briskly, clearly impatient. “Mother, please open up!”
The door creaked as Helen Crosby unlocked it. She narrowed her eyes when she saw her daughter. “Linda, my dear! Aren’t you supposed to be on duty? What are you doing here?”
Linda lowered her head. “I am sorry, but I have something to tell you.”
“Yes, what is it?” Helen arched her eyebrow.
“Fiona, that wretched cousin of mine…She betrayed us.” Linda growled.
Helen put her hands on her hips. She didn’t seem too surprised. “You just noticed? How slow of you.”
Linda was shocked. “You knew, mother? Why didn’t you tell me sooner? If you did, she would’ve been caught and dealt with already, and she…”
Linda was about to continue, but Helen put a finger to her lips. “Shush, child. I know all that, you do not have to tell me. Did you really think I would let her go just like that? You really do underestimate your dear mother, don’t you?” Helen smirked.
A smile slowly crept into Linda’s features. “So, what did you do?”
Helen tapped a silver ring that was on her pinkie finger. “This ring tells me exactly what every single witch in my domain is doing at this moment. For example, Sylvia is guarding west point; Jade is cleaning up the library…” She paused, frowning. She tapped the ring again. “And Eileen appears to be flirting with one of my soldiers. She is clearly not focused. I will have to go discipline the girl later…”
“Mother! Please, tell me instead, what is my cousin doing?”
“Oh, right. Fiona Crosby…Is currently eating figs with the ex-royalties. Ha, so typical of her.”
Linda scowled. “To be eating figs with them at this hour! Such an ungrateful child! I will go now, mother. I will go show her…” She muttered unintelligible threats.
“Now, now, dear. Don’t be so rash. In fact, why not let her relax for a bit, hmm?” Helen smiled.
“What do you mean, mother?”
“We’re winning this war, Linda. In fact, we have already won. We know that the ex-royalties are going to strike one day though, and clearly Fiona will be with them. When that day comes, she will learn her lesson. No need to act now, hmm?”
Linda cackled. “You are so intelligent, mother dear. Why haven’t I thought of that myself?”
Helen joined in with her laughter. “Because I’m Queen,” she said. “And I always will be.”

Princess and the Pea Chapter 29
I couldn't write last week because it was my birthday! ^_^
Enjoy.
Chapter 29:
The group ate in silence. It’s wasn’t really because of Fiona’s presence, or even their nervousness, but no one said a word. You could hear the animals scurrying around; you could hear the birds cawing as they soared through the sky. You could even hear the seven heartbeats.
…
On the other side of the castle, Linda was getting annoyed. She walked around impatiently, waiting for Fiona’s return. “My fool of a cousin should be done with them by now,” she muttered. “Where in the world is she?”
Suddenly, a guard burst through the door. “Your highness!” The guard shrieked. “We can’t find Marilynn or Samson anywhere!”
Linda’s eyes narrowed. “They should be with my cousin, sweet,” she said. “Did you see her anywhere?”
The guard shook his head. “No, your highness. And were they with Miss Fiona? I heard that the Honourable Helen Crosby captured them and put them in a prison cell. But somehow, they escaped, along with the former Queens Lily and Sandra and the former Kings Henry and William.” The guard’s voice was shaking now.
Linda stepped forward and delivered a hard slap to his face. “Fool!” She screeched, angry. “You dare tell me this NOW?”
The guard quivered tensely. “I just heard this…This just now, your…Your highness…” He stared at the ground. “I…I am so…So sorry…”
Linda growled. “If my mother captured them alone, then that just means my cousin is a traitor! I’ll kill that girl…” She gritted her teeth, snarling. She threw one pitying glance at the guard before her, and shocked him down with a witch spell. The guard moaned as he fell, unconscious.
Linda ignored him and continued on, going through the door. Her bright blue hair flowed behind her.
“Marilynn and Samson…Heh, the others can take care of them. Right now, I’m going to go find Fiona. Maybe I’ll strike her down with a Thunder Flash as well…Heh…”
-Vociferously yours, Vicky.
Enjoy.

Princess and the Pea Chapter 28
Chapter 28:
Queen Lily fainted. She collapsed over, her eyes rolling into the back of her head. Prince Samson caught her. “Mother, are you alright?”
Fiona smiled apologetically. “I’m sorry,” she said.
King Henry pulled out his sword. “You there, witch girl,” he snarled. “Don’t you come a step closer.”
Marilynn chuckled. “King Henry, it’s alright. You don’t have to worry. She’s our…She’s our friend.”
“A friend? Princess, are you mad? Making friends with a witch, you say. Seriously, now.” He did not put back his sword.
Prince Samson rolled his eyes. Marilynn did seem to give people the impression of being mad. “Yes, seriously. The princess is telling the truth. You may withdraw your sword now, Father.”
Prince Samson gently laid his mother down on the ground, and then stood up straight and rubbed his hands together.
Fiona looked rather nervous. How was she going to communicate with these people who didn’t trust her? She would rely on innocence, she decided.
“Like I said, I can help you,” she began. “I’m not like the other witches. I don’t believe in Helen’s plan.”
Queen Sandra looked Fiona up and down. “Yes, I can see that. You are definitely different. First of all,” Sandra raised her eyebrows. “You are much skinnier and paler than the others. How much have you been eating these days?”
Fiona narrowed her eyes slightly, but kept her calm. “I am not here to be judged, ma’am,” she worded carefully. “I am here to be of some guidance.”
Marilynn smiled. She admired Fiona’s assertiveness. “Oh, we know that, silly,” she laughed. “They are just over-cautious. I trust you. And even if they all don’t believe you, I do.”
Fiona was amazed by her words. No one had ever trusted her before. Linda had mistreated her, and Helen had whipped her whenever she had her suspicions about her loyalty…Which was often.
“We’d like to rest a bit first,” Marilynn said. “Why don’t you join us?” She looked around. “There are some nice fig trees here, so after we pick some, why don’t you have a few? We need to be in top condition in order to fight Helen Crosby.”
She paused, looking meaningfully at Fiona. “That’s when we’ll need your help.”

Princess and the Pea Chapter 27
Sorry I couldn't write last week!
Chapter 27:
Everyone turned to Marilynn. She felt uncomfortable. “What? Why are you all staring at me?”
“Well, you’re the one with all the great ideas, right?” Samson nudged her, as if saying: Come on, you’re talking to my father, so just say something already.Marilynn left out a huff. “I believe I have contributed enough. I am a princess, and I feel rather tired from all this. Please, if any one of you could think of something this time…That would be greatly appreciated.”
Queen Lily eyed Marilynn suspiciously. But she just had to admit that it was their turn to help. Marilynn had done so much. She sighed, trying to think of something.
“Well, we should be heading to a hiding place first,” Marilynn said after a little while.
Prince Samson shushed her. “You just sit there and rest, Princess. We’ll think of the next step. You just sit there and rest.”
Marilynn groaned. But she was truly a bit tired, so she agreed. She closed her eyes, letting her mind drift.
It was silent. Queen Sandra and King William looked positively confused. Queen Lily and King Henry looked distracted. Samson seriously didn’t know what to do. Finally, he spoke up. “Aha! I know what we should do!”
“Yes, Prince Samson?” Everyone but Marilynn asked.
“We should go find a hiding place! That way, it’ll be safer to communicate ideas!”
“That is such a wonderful idea!”
Marilynn’s eyes snapped open. “Wait, Prince Samson, I just said that! But you didn’t listen to me!”
“Yes, perhaps, but you were supposed to rest. The credit is all mine.”
Marilynn felt anger, but suppressed it. It wasn’t regal for a princess to let out her anger. But then again, was she even a princess anymore? The witches had taken over everything.
The group, led by Prince Samson, trotted into the forest. They found a nice spot, surrounded by trees and thus hidden and secretive.
“OK, so what’s the plan?” Everyone sat down in a circle, and again, everyone turned to Marilynn.
“Oh fine, I’ll get no rest at all, will I?” Marilynn rolled her eyes. “We should…”
Marilynn was interrupted. A small shadowy figure appeared behind the trees, advancing towards them. The figure’s silhouette became clear, and immediately, Samson and Marilynn recognized her.
“I can help you,” Fiona said.

A Drawing
I was so bored...So I decided to create a drawing.
First, I used my little baby sister's MagnaDoodle drawing toy:
It looked kind of nice, but it lacked colour. So I took a picture of it, and edited it on GIMP:
Nice, huh?

Princess and the Pea Chapter 26
26 Chapters, but only 20 pages on my Microsoft Word document. Lol.
Chapter 26:
“Ridiculous, Princess Marilynn. This is utterly ridiculous.” Prince Samson heaved and groaned as Princess Marilynn climbed on top of his shoulders.
“Wait…Just one more second!” Marilynn reached for the window. She stepped on her tippy toes, much to Samson’s discomfort, and with a grunt, she managed to reach her destination.
She peered out the window. To her joyful surprise, there were ropes outside. The ropes were just on the grass. How convenient, Marilynn thought.
Prince Samson couldn’t take it anymore. He struggled under Marilynn’s weight, and he toppled over. Marilynn fell down with him, letting out a scream. “Ouch!” She groaned, clearly displeased. “Oh, seriously…” Marilynn rubbed her head painfully.
“How much do you weigh?” Samson rubbed his head too.
Marilynn ignored him, and turned to the two kings and queens. “There are ropes outside,” she said. “If one of us could somehow escape through the window…We’d all be saved.”
“But who?” Queen Lily asked, incredulous. “Who could do such a thing?”
Marilynn smiled, and turned her head to Prince Samson. “You make a fine ladder, Prince,” she chuckled. “If you could let me climb onto you again…”
Prince Samson immediately shook his head. “No way, Princess. You are far too heavy for me to support.”
But through arguing and protests, finally Prince Samson caved in. Marilynn climbed onto his shoulders again, and once again peered out the window. “C’mon, I can do this…” One, two, three, and Marilynn pushed herself off Prince Samson and she fell out the window. She screamed as she landed onto the grass.
“Are you alright, dear?” King William was worried.
“I’m fine, Father!” Marilynn yelled back. “Here, I’ve got the ropes.”
Marilynn threw one side of one of the ropes back into the prison through the window. Soon, she felt pressure. She heaved and pulled, and soon, Prince Samson came out. Then, the two of them worked on freeing Queen Sandra, Queen Lily, King William, and King Henry. After a while, everyone was free.
They sat down, breathing heavily. “Now that we’re free,” King Henry wheezed, “What’s next to do?”

Comic Strip Number 25
Hey, did you guys see the Eclipse trailer? HILARIOUS.
So I've decided to make fun of the Twilight saga today. This is a preview of what happened after Breaking Dawn:
It's actually quite probable.

Princess and the Pea Chapter 25
Wow, I'm already at Chapter 25. Amazing.
Chapter 25:
Marilynn and Samson felt as if they were falling down a deep, dark tunnel. The fall seemed endless, as they tumbled wordlessly down. Marilynn gulped while Samson held his breath.
Finally, they landed with a thump. Marilynn groaned and rubbed her head. Samson blinked a few times.
“Is that you…?” Familiar voices called out to them. Marilynn opened her eyes, and found herself staring into the faces of her parents.
“Mother! Father! You are all here!” She hugged them, tears running down her face.
Samson was surrounded by his parents, too. He couldn’t believe his eyes.
“Why are you all down here?” Marilynn asked.
Queen Sandra sighed. “We’ve all been captured. I can’t believe it. We’ve been outsmarted by those witches.”
King William growled. “But I’m sure we’ll be able to defeat them in the end,” he said. “We just need patience.”
Marilynn smiled. “Patience, for one,” she stated. “But we also need rest. We, as in Prince Samson and I, are exhausted.”
Queen Lily suddenly perked up. “Oh, just a question,” she said. “You found us before. We saw you looking through a pea.”
Prince Samson nodded. “Yes, we did. The pea is in Linda’s wretched room. Somehow, we’re all trapped in it.”
The room was silent. Marilynn and Samson took the time to examine their surroundings. They were trapped in a large prison cell, with loads of hay stacked near them. There was a small window too high for them to reach, and metal bars blocking the exit.
“We need to get out,” Marilynn said. “We can’t do anything if we don’t. Please, let us think of some ideas.”
“You got us out of prison last time, dear,” Queen Sandra smiled. “You are the one with all the good ideas.”
“Thank you, mother,” Marilynn beamed. And then they were all quiet.
Marilynn darted her eyes around the room, trying to find some sort of clue. They couldn’t squeeze through the bars, they couldn’t pick the lock, and they couldn’t slip out the window…Or could they?
Marilynn chuckled. “Well, how about that? I’ve got another idea.”

3 Myths
Throughout the years, I've been hearing some very bizarre myths. Here are three of them:
Myth: If you like to wave your arms around in fast, jerky movements, you might receive temporary brain malfunctions.
Truth: Uh, no..? It depends on what kind of person you are, really. Some people tend to show that when they're hyper, they tend to act strangely. But, no, you won't receive malfunctions. But if you think it's cool to malfunction, go ahead and test your acting skills on your friends. They might actually believe it. ;)
Myth: If you swallow a watermelon seed, watermelons will grow in your stomach.
Truth: NO WAY. Your digestive system will take care of that for you. Don't worry about it at all. I bet a lot of you people can now go to sleep peacefully tonight, eh? ^_^
Myth: The world will end in 2012.
Truth: I don't think so. The world won't just suddenly crash on us. Maybe in another few thousand years....But not in 2012. The scientists won't let us down. (BTW, did any of you see the movie 2012? Lol, nice effects, but horrible, terrible logic.)
If you have any more interesting myths, send them to me. I'm always happy to prove others wrong.

Daylight Savings
Yeah, so today Daylight Savings begins again. *yawn* Actually, it began at 2am, but nobody ever gets up at 2 in the morning to change their clocks. And if you actually do that...Well, I'm sorry, but you're alone.
A lot of people really detest the Springtime DS since they get less sleep. Same here. Don't you hate it when you wake up on a beautiful morning...Then suddenly you realize you're late for school? Or, in this case, late for church? The heavens are shaking their heads. <_<
Many studies have been conducted to see if the DS actually helps or not. I watched this video, and it said that the number of serious heart attacks go up 6-10% because of it all. There are other consequences too.
But then again, the DS do benefit us. There are less car accidents and more sunshine. That's always a good thing, hmm? (If you think of it the other way, though, more sunshine equals more sunburns and more people with skin cancer. Ahh, you can feel yourself using your brain now! :D)
But whether you like it or not, you have to live through it. And that's life, right?

Princess and the Pea Chapter 24
Chapter 24:
Marilynn and Samson ran as fast as they could. They dashed through the exit, down the halls, past the gardens, and approached the main gate.
“We’re here…” Marilynn gasped. “Quick, open the gate before anyone sees us.”
“Alright,” Samson huffed. He was also pretty tired. “Here, I’ll do it.” He pushed at the gate, and slowly began to open it.
But then it creaked. A loud, painful creak sounded. “No,” Samson whispered, alarmed. “Don’t creak…”
It was too late. Guards came rushing towards them, spears in hands and helmets on heads. “Run!!” Marilynn yelled, grabbing Samson and pulling him out the door.
They made it. They continued running, hoping the guards wouldn’t come after them.
After a while, the two realized that they were alone. “No guards following us…” Marilynn breathed.
“Yes…” Samson sighed and stopped running.
“We’re not safe yet!” Marilynn spoke up. “And besides, we haven’t even completed our task.”
“But, with all these guards and witches, how are we going to complete it? Face it, Princess Marilynn. I don’t think it’s possible.”
“Everything is possible, Prince Samson,” Marilynn retorted. “I bet Mother and Father are already finished with what they’re doing and waiting for us at our meeting spot.”
“No, my dear friend…They are not.” A sinister voice spoke up. A dark figure landed in front of Marilynn and Samson. She was very recognizable.
“Helen Crosby,” Marilynn whispered.
Helen put her hands on her hips. “Princess Marilynn, your parents are with me. Prince Samson, yours are too. Do not worry, youngsters, they are perfectly safe. I just don’t want them to ruin everything.”
“You don’t want them to ruin what?” Prince Samson stated. “What have they done to you? Let them go.”
“Oh, it will be quite a surprise, dear,” Helen chuckled. “But you two, sadly, are also jeopardizing it.” She held out a pea. “Why not join your parents? They will be very happy to know that you are safe.”
“The pea…” Marilynn was confused. But there was no time for that. Marilynn felt herself and Samson getting smaller and closer to the pea.
Then, with a ‘whoosh’, they disappeared.

It's Spring Break...Now what?
Wow, how time flies. It's already March. And it's already Spring Break.
I mean, what's up with Spring Break anyways? It's always so short and so boring. There aren't as many programs being offered. The school term/semester is cut. And most importantly, it's not even SPRING. This is still WINTER, people. Spring doesn't start until the 21st. To me, the Break should start then instead.
So now what? We get a week (or two, if you're lucky) off school. We don't get any homework, and all you basically do is sit around. Or in my case, sit in front of a computer, ranting on and on about this and that.
I hope you all have a nice Spring Break. Find something interesting to do. (In other words, read my blog. :) )
*sigh* As I sit here, twiddling my thumbs...
-Vociferously yours, Vicky.
P.S. Check out my forum, Tamagotchi Cool. I got a new skin!!

Princess and the Pea Chapter 23
Now, the action will start. Finally!
Chapter 23:
“You want to do what?” Prince Samson couldn’t believe it.
“I…I want to help you. What we are doing isn’t…It isn’t right.” Fiona was shaking. She bit her lip. She knew she shouldn’t have said anything. But all the words were true.
“Really?” Marilynn’s voice was bright and merry. “You want to help us?”
Samson nudged her. “Don’t trust her,” he whispered. “She could be plotting something.”
“She looks innocent enough. I’ve never seen a witch cry ever in my life.” Marilynn looked at Fiona. Fiona had sat down now, hunched over, hugging her knees. She looked emotionally disturbed.
“You two,” Fiona said. “It’s alright if you think I’m lying. I’m used to it.” She smiled weakly. “I always am the one left behind, unskilled and distrusted.”
Samson was silent. What should they do?
“You can help us…If you want to.” Marilynn pressed her lips together into one hard line.
“You’re thinking that I don’t want to? I have nothing better to do.” Fiona sighed. If there were security cameras around, she’d be dead.
Samson groaned. “You know what, Princess Marilynn? I think we’re just wasting time.”
Fiona suddenly looked up. “You’re right, mister.” She stood up and pointed at the exit. “Run away. That’s the exit out of the dungeons. Get out of this kingdom…Your kingdom…Until you’re ready.”
“Ready for what?”
Fiona grimaced, as if she didn’t want to tell them the bad news. “Helen Crosby is planning war,” she whispered. “In one month. She’s gathering all the witches and evil beings she can find. She wants to overpower every kingdom in this nation.”
Marilynn and Samson were quiet. They were so shocked they could barely speak.
“Now go! Go! Before Linda catches you! Run!” Fiona gave them a hefty shove.
Marilynn and Samson started running. They ran as fast as they could, out of the dungeons. “I’ll be there when we attack,” Fiona called after them. “Meet me near the big oak tree when that happens. I’ll help you.”
“Thank you!” They called back at her. And then they were gone.

O Canada?
I was just reading Yahoo.ca and Msn.ca. Y'know, what a Canadian would read to start his or her day. (I'm not at school because I still feel sick and I'm coughing.)
They are saying that the lyrics to "O Canada" should be changed. Supposedly, our national anthem is not gender-neutral. "In all thy sons' command" should be changed to "Thou dost in us command", a very ancient version. Well, at least that's what everyone else thinks.
Personally, as a female citizen of Canada, I think it's not a big deal! Go do a survey. Who actually pays attention? I bet that the vast majority of us beaver-lovers will say, "Oh? Wha--? Huh, I didn't even notice."
Now imagine; What would happen if the lyrics do get changed?: Hundreds of Youtube videos being re-uploaded, making Internet speed awfully slow. Protesters (there are always the protesters...) wreaking havoc across the country. Kids coughing as they pull out their old dusty 1908 dictionaries, trying to decipher the meaning of the word 'dost'.
What's next, people? Changing the colour of our flag to hot pink? Deciding that we should actually take out the 'u' in 'colour'? Wow, what a splendid world this is, huh?
And even if the lyrics don't get changed, the damage is already done. Female rights groups will begin their attack. The men of the country will start yelling and whopping for joy. Imagine the noise.
I just feel sorry for the Americans south of the border. I won't be surprised when they start complaining. "Can't you quiet DOWN, you filthy Canadians?"
Oh well. All we can do is sit like ducks. And if you're not a Canadian, you can ignore all that I just typed.

Princess and the Pea Chapter 22
Chapter 22:
Fiona led Prince Samson and Princess Marilynn down, deep into the castle dungeon.
“Go in,” she said.
Princess Marilynn gave Fiona a quizzical look. “May I ask why?” She said. “Why do you think you have the authority to order us around?”
Fiona glared at her. “Because I’m the one in charge and you two are just two intruders who need to know who you’re dealing with.”
Marilynn looked Fiona up and down. “Ah. According to that, then…” Marilynn smirked. “I suppose I’m dealing with an emaciated rat.”
Prince Samson frowned at Marilynn. “What are you thinking?” He whispered. “Do you want to get us killed?”
Marilynn whispered back. “We’re already going to be killed, so why not have a little fun in the meantime?”
Prince Samson was about to say something more, but Fiona interrupted him. “So I’m an emaciated rat, eh? At least I don’t look like a carrot.”
Marilynn rolled her eyes, not at all affected. “No wonder you let us past,” she said. “You must have intelligence the size of a pea.”
Fiona’s eyes widened when she heard the word ‘pea’. “Why you…!”
“So what now, miss? Are you admitting it?” Marilynn continued talking.
“No I am not!” Fiona growled. “So what, I’m always serving my cousin Linda? So what, I’m always mistreated? So what, I think what we’re doing here is pointless? So what, everyone thinks I’m stupid? I am not!!”
Marilynn and Samson were silent. “You…You don’t like the witches’ plan?”
Fiona didn’t speak. A tear rolled down her eye. “I guess I’m busted, huh? Yeah, I don’t. I don’t understand the rest of them. And they don’t understand me.”
“You…Then, how can you be a witch?”
“I am a witch. But not a very good one, I’m sad to say.”
Marilynn smiled. “It’s alright. Everyone’s different.”
Fiona suddenly stood straight and looked Marilynn and Samson hard in the eye. “You know what? I want to help you.”

A Story Of Hate
In a classroom, there are always conflicts. It's inevitable, really.
Here's a story I'd like to share with you guys. You decide whether it's real or not.
I first heard about it last year. It was a beautiful early spring morning. We were all ready to learn. We were all excited for our next project.
And then a boy told me a secret of his. He hated someone. That someone was a girl who was insanely nice and always willing to help. So I asked him why.
"She's so bossy! She never listens to others." I shrugged. It wasn't any of my business anyways.
Then came May. The Swing Dance program started. Every time we had Swing Dance, that boy would try to avoid that girl. Every time, he would fail. I still remember seeing his face as he unwillingly held out his hands to begin the dance.
Every chance possible, that boy would tell me how much he detested her. Every chance possible! He would say really mean things about her that weren't even true. I never understood why; That girl never bothered him at all.
This year, his hatred only intensified. He started to criticize the way she looked! The way she worked! Everything about her! Yet why, that remained a mystery.
He begged us not to put him beside her when someone else and I were doing the seating plan. "I'll do anything!" He pleaded. We were soft on him, so we agreed.
A few months ago, I heard something along the lines of "she sat on him" and whatever. Bizarre rumours.
Just the other day, that boy told me that the one person he would get rid of to make the world a better place...Is HER.
The hate story continues...Stretching out until perhaps forever.

Princess and the Pea Chapter 21
Yay, chapter 21!
Chapter 21:
“It’s a pea? What the devil?” King William examined the pea closely. “Why did this pea hit me on the head?”
“We do not know,” Queen Sandra nervously said. “But I do not think it is just a coincidence.”
“You mean…You think someone is behind this?” King William rubbed his aching head.
“There are no pea plants around here, and the wind isn’t strong enough to blow this here. There must be a witch around.” Both King William and Queen Sandra nodded in consensus.
“Ah! That was very smart! I am impressed!” A fierce maniacal voice cried out like branches snapping. With a whooshing sound, a figure swept down from the east wall of Ruby Cross. She landed gracefully, barely making a sound. The figure stood up. She had bright blue hair, gleaming black eyes, and she was wearing the standard witch uniform. “It’s just what I would expect from vous deux, le roi et la femme du roi.”
“Helen Crosby!” Queen Sandra exclaimed incredulously. Her eyes narrowed. “It’s a great pleasure to see you here, Ms Crosby.” Queen Sandra’s voice dripped with sarcasm.
“What do you want?” King William harshly demanded. He did not want to stall, with the control of his kingdom at sake.
“Oh, nothing much, really,” Helen Crosby jauntily sauntered around, with a casual smile on her face. “In fact, I am quite pleased. I never knew you two would be around here. Didn’t my daughter lock you up?”
“Your daughter is a fool, for all I’ve seen.” King William hated the stalling.
“Humph, so you’ve escaped. How lovely.” Helen Crosby still kept a friendly tone.
“Stop stalling already. You know us, and we know you.” Queen Sandra was starting to get irritated as well.
“Very well, then.” Helen Crosby stopped pacing and her expression became cold. “You two are jeopardizing my plan. I will not allow you to advance any further.”
Helen snatched the pea from King William’s hand and held it up. “Ouvrir, ma cherie. Ouvrir.”
King William and Queen Sandra got sucked into the pea.

King William and Queen Sandra got sucked into the pea.

Princess and the Pea Chapter 20
Wow, I've completed twenty chapters, yet barely sixteen pages on Microsoft Word. Bizarre.
Chapter 20:
While Samson and Marilynn followed Fiona down the hall with their hands up, Queen Sandra and King William had finally reached their Kingdom, Ruby Cross.
“We are here, dear,” Queen Sandra sighed. “Luckily, the witches have not made any horrific damage yet.”
“Yes, we are very fortunate. But remember, we have our things to do. I have to go fight any remaining witches while you have to go wake up your soldiers. We must part ways now.”
And they separated, Queen Sandra going east, King William going west. Above them, Helen Crosby watched. “So they escaped, huh. How sad. I suppose Princess Marilynn and Prince Samson have also left. I’m sure my daughter can take care of them, though…” And she left.
Queen Sandra found most of her soldiers lined up near the main gate, eyes closed and arms drooping. They were leaning against the barrier wall, completely fast asleep. Queen Sandra sighed.
“Phil? Jacque? Please wake up…” Queen Sandra lightly shook her soldiers, hoping that they would answer or even make a sound in reply. “Oh, please, dear soldiers, our kingdom needs you right now.”
But it was all useless. Queen Sandra felt desolate. Her soldiers were all in some sort of witch spell. She didn’t know how to break them. When she was a little princess, she had no tutors to teach her these things. Only Marilynn could do such wonders.
Queen Sandra continued to hurry around her kingdom, shaking her soldiers. It was all once again, useless. Queen Sandra circled around and around…She finally gave up. But she decided to try to meet up with her husband. She wanted to be of some use.
The queen found King William wandering around the outskirts of the kingdom, dagger up in defence. He was stepping around cautiously.
“Dear…!” Queen Sandra called out to him.
“Sandra? Is that you? How was it...?”
But he was interrupted, for suddenly something hit him on the head hard. “Ouch!” King William rubbed his head frantically.
Queen Sandra picked up the object, and looked at it peculiarly. “It’s…” She stammered. “It’s just a pea.”

Princess and the Pea Chapter 19
Nineteen used to be my student number...Whatever, that's irrelevant.
Chapter 19:
A blue mist enveloped the pea, and out of the second crease, a bubble came out. It started out small, but it became bigger and bigger until it was almost half the size of an adult human. Marilynn and Samson backed away slowly.
“What is that?” Samson whispered at Marilynn.
“I don’t know. Ssh, just watch it!”
The bubble reached its maximum size. It bobbled there for a second, and then out of nowhere, two figures appeared inside it. Their silhouettes fizzled and slowly became clear. Two people of royalty, wearing gowns and robes, were stuck inside it.
Prince Samson blinked twice, not believing his eyes. Those two figures were his parents! “Mother…Queen Lilly…Is that you? Father…King Henry…Is that you?”
Marilynn turned to Samson incredulously. “Your parents are trapped inside that bubble?”
Queen Lily pounded against the bubble. Her voice came out in soft echoes. “Samson, Marilynn…Please save us…!”
King Henry looked at them with sad eyes. “We both got captured by the witches, son. It’s up to you now, to stop them…”
The silhouettes faded. “No!” Prince Samson whispered painfully. “Don’t go…!”
The bubble itself shrank and shrank, and finally disappeared into the second crease of the tiny pea.
Marilynn and Samson were silent for a few moments. Samson spoke up. “We have to save them!”
“I know. We have to take the pea…”
Marilynn closed the lid of the pea case and picked it up. “Come on, let’s go –…”
She was interrupted, for the door of Linda’s room suddenly opened. Fiona stepped in, armed with her spear. She snarled at them. “You…! I knew I shouldn’t have trusted you!”
Marilynn and Samson automatically brought their arms up in surrender. The pea case tumbled to the ground.
“You scoundrels come with me!” Fiona led them down the hall, spear at their throats.
Samson sighed. How were they going to get out of this one?

Princess and the Pea Chapter 18
Eighteen is out!
Chapter 18:
“But that’s impossible!” Fiona exclaimed. “You…You had locked them in that one room house! You…”
“Don’t ‘you’ me!” Linda shouted. “I did my job perfectly well. How about you? You foolishly let two so-called ‘ordinary’ peasants inside my castle!”
“I’m sorry, Linda, but I didn’t know…!” Fiona’s head was turning. She always felt nauseous when Linda got mad.
“My mother is going to be so angry. And you know perfectly well what she does to people like you.” Linda raised an eyebrow.
Fiona gulped. She did know. Everyone knew Helen’s cruelty. She would throw any suspicious person into the dungeon without a second glance.
“I might be able to forgive you, Fiona, but I do not know about my mother. Just be thankful that you are my favourite cousin.”
“I feel grateful, Linda.” Fiona whimpered.
“So go off, now. Shoo. You don’t need to show me your report. Just go and fix the problem you started. Throw Marilynn and Samson into the dungeon before my mother comes back.”
“Yes, Linda.” And off she went.
…
“Aha!” Marilynn exclaimed triumphantly. “I found something!”
“What do you mean?” Samson hushed. “You mean, about the pea? Well, I don’t see anything unusual about it.”
“Silence, Prince Samson. Look at this,” Princess Marilynn drew her finger over the creases on the pea. “That’s one crease, skip two millimetres, two creases, skip two millimetres…All the way to six creases, and skip two millimetres.”
“So? It’s probably just a coincidental pattern. It doesn’t mean anything.”
“Oh? What have your parents taught you as a child? This is a witch code.” Marilynn began to recite: “The witch code was passed down generation to generation in witch clans. They follow certain patterns to mean different things. The most common witch code is shown on everyday items. They use creases and skips to show their message.”
“Wow.” Samson was impressed.
“My parents taught me how to decode them, too. You know, just in case. So let me see…This one means…” Marilynn paused. “Touch…The…Second…Crease…Three…Times…To…Let…The…Prison-
ers…Out.”
“The second crease, it says?” Samson frowned.
“Here, let me do it.” Marilynn tapped the second crease in the pea once, twice, then three times.
The two of them waited for it to happen.

Princess and the Pea Chapter 17
A bit late. Oh well.
Chapter 17:
Marilynn and Samson were silent for a moment. They could not believe their eyes. Marilynn was the first to speak. “The pea…The pea is the key?”
Samson stared at the tiny little pea. He frowned at it, thinking about how the heck a pea would be the key. “It might not be my mother’s pea,” he said. “It might be…”
“Whether it is or is not your mother’s pea, it’s the key, so we must analyze it.” Marilynn was very serious.
“Well, just stupidly looking at it won’t help.”
“Fine, then.” Marilynn took the pea out from the box and held it up to her face. It was just an ordinary pea. She sniffed it. “Eww,” she said. “It’s gone bad.”
“The witches like rotten things. It’s not so surprising.” Samson rolled his eyes.
The two continued to examine it.
…
The witch Fiona quickly made it down the halls, knowing that Linda would explode if she was late for reporting. She grimaced. She hated Linda, for she was the most horrible witch she knew. Rumours were that Linda’s mother, the head witch Helen Crosby, had killed her mother. But those were rumours, right? Fiona shook her head. She needed to focus.
Fiona made it into the reporting room. Linda was there, waiting for her. Fiona was shocked. Linda looked so frightening. Her figure was enveloped with dark energy.
“Fiona, you’re exactly thirty milliseconds late. What do you have to say for yourself?” Linda growled at her cousin.
“I am sorry, Linda. My watch doesn’t seem to be exact.”
“Then throw it out and get a new one. The next time you’re late; it’s off to the dungeon for you.”
“Yes, Linda.” Fiona kept her head down.
Linda growled again. “And is it true that you were stupid enough to let peasants into the castle?”
Fiona whimpered. “Um, yes, but…”
“But…? There is no but!”
Fiona made her voice more assertive. “Those peasants were devoted patrons to our ways, Linda. We must let the humans respect us. Or else our empire will not last long.”
Linda snorted. “Do not question our ways, cousin. But is it true that you let Princess Marilynn and Prince Samson in?”
Fiona’s eyes opened wide. “What?”

The Seven Sins: #1-Pride
Pride is a horrible thing, in my opinion. Yuck. I hate arrogant people who think they're oh so great and powerful and mighty, especially when they actually aren't. I bet others hate them too. No wonder pride is one of the seven sins. (Pride, greed, gluttony, envy, lust, anger, sloth...)
Are you a proud person? If you don't know, quickly take this test:
1. Do you think you're the best?
a) Of course
b) Sure...
c) No.
2. If someone around you is hurt, do you help them?
a) Why bother? It's their fault.
b) Too lazy.
c) Of course.
3. How many friends do you have?
a) A darn lot! Everyone likes me. ^_^
b) I have friends.
c) Not many, but that's fine.
Mostly A's? You're proud and pompous. B's? You're in between. C's? Congratulations, you're pure. And even if you hesitated between A and B, god bless your soul. You need it.
OK, arrogant people. This is for you: You're awesome, okay, we get it. You're the best and everyone is your follower. You will rule the flipping world one day. Okay, what next? Look, nobody cares. You can stop flaunting yourself, because nobody cares. You might truly be better than all of us, but don't you have better thing to do instead? Nobody cares. You get it? NOBODY FREAKING CARES.
So please, do the world a favour, and get rid of your arrogance. Everyone will like you better if you're modest
and humble. Vanity, narcissism...We don't need all that. Sure, you're pretty and good-looking, but do we really
need another reminder?
