Princess and the Pea Chapter 28

Chapter 28:
Queen Lily fainted. She collapsed over, her eyes rolling into the back of her head. Prince Samson caught her. “Mother, are you alright?”
Fiona smiled apologetically. “I’m sorry,” she said.
King Henry pulled out his sword. “You there, witch girl,” he snarled. “Don’t you come a step closer.”
Marilynn chuckled. “King Henry, it’s alright. You don’t have to worry. She’s our…She’s our friend.”
“A friend? Princess, are you mad? Making friends with a witch, you say. Seriously, now.” He did not put back his sword.
Prince Samson rolled his eyes. Marilynn did seem to give people the impression of being mad. “Yes, seriously. The princess is telling the truth. You may withdraw your sword now, Father.”
Prince Samson gently laid his mother down on the ground, and then stood up straight and rubbed his hands together.
Fiona looked rather nervous. How was she going to communicate with these people who didn’t trust her? She would rely on innocence, she decided.
“Like I said, I can help you,” she began. “I’m not like the other witches. I don’t believe in Helen’s plan.”
Queen Sandra looked Fiona up and down. “Yes, I can see that. You are definitely different. First of all,” Sandra raised her eyebrows. “You are much skinnier and paler than the others. How much have you been eating these days?”
Fiona narrowed her eyes slightly, but kept her calm. “I am not here to be judged, ma’am,” she worded carefully. “I am here to be of some guidance.”
Marilynn smiled. She admired Fiona’s assertiveness. “Oh, we know that, silly,” she laughed. “They are just over-cautious. I trust you. And even if they all don’t believe you, I do.”
Fiona was amazed by her words. No one had ever trusted her before. Linda had mistreated her, and Helen had whipped her whenever she had her suspicions about her loyalty…Which was often.
“We’d like to rest a bit first,” Marilynn said. “Why don’t you join us?” She looked around. “There are some nice fig trees here, so after we pick some, why don’t you have a few? We need to be in top condition in order to fight Helen Crosby.”
She paused, looking meaningfully at Fiona. “That’s when we’ll need your help.”

Princess and the Pea Chapter 27

Sorry I couldn't write last week!

Chapter 27:

Everyone turned to Marilynn. She felt uncomfortable. “What? Why are you all staring at me?”
“Well, you’re the one with all the great ideas, right?” Samson nudged her, as if saying: Come on, you’re talking to my father, so just say something already.Marilynn left out a huff. “I believe I have contributed enough. I am a princess, and I feel rather tired from all this. Please, if any one of you could think of something this time…That would be greatly appreciated.”
Queen Lily eyed Marilynn suspiciously. But she just had to admit that it was their turn to help. Marilynn had done so much. She sighed, trying to think of something.
“Well, we should be heading to a hiding place first,” Marilynn said after a little while.
Prince Samson shushed her. “You just sit there and rest, Princess. We’ll think of the next step. You just sit there and rest.”
Marilynn groaned. But she was truly a bit tired, so she agreed. She closed her eyes, letting her mind drift.
It was silent. Queen Sandra and King William looked positively confused. Queen Lily and King Henry looked distracted. Samson seriously didn’t know what to do. Finally, he spoke up. “Aha! I know what we should do!”
“Yes, Prince Samson?” Everyone but Marilynn asked.
“We should go find a hiding place! That way, it’ll be safer to communicate ideas!”
“That is such a wonderful idea!”
Marilynn’s eyes snapped open. “Wait, Prince Samson, I just said that! But you didn’t listen to me!”
“Yes, perhaps, but you were supposed to rest. The credit is all mine.”
Marilynn felt anger, but suppressed it. It wasn’t regal for a princess to let out her anger. But then again, was she even a princess anymore? The witches had taken over everything.
The group, led by Prince Samson, trotted into the forest. They found a nice spot, surrounded by trees and thus hidden and secretive.
“OK, so what’s the plan?” Everyone sat down in a circle, and again, everyone turned to Marilynn.
“Oh fine, I’ll get no rest at all, will I?” Marilynn rolled her eyes. “We should…”
Marilynn was interrupted. A small shadowy figure appeared behind the trees, advancing towards them. The figure’s silhouette became clear, and immediately, Samson and Marilynn recognized her.
“I can help you,” Fiona said.

A Drawing

I was so bored...So I decided to create a drawing.

First, I used my little baby sister's MagnaDoodle drawing toy:

It looked kind of nice, but it lacked colour.  So I took a picture of it, and edited it on GIMP:

Nice, huh?
